The Cheddi Jagan Research Centre is the largest repository of primary source materials on Dr. and Mrs. Jagan in the world. Significant records which document the social, cultural, economic and political history of Guyana and the fight for independence are housed here. These records are available for historical research, and were added to our website to commemorate the 100th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Cheddi Jagan, on March 22, 2018.

This collection of The Cheddi Jagan Research Centre consists of the papers of Dr. and Mrs. Jagan, and those of the organization they co-founded, the Peoples Progressive Party. In addition, the archives includes correspondences, Hansard, videos, audio recordings and photos, along with other information produced about Dr. and Mrs. Jagan. These holdings exist today as the main link to understanding the events during the period from 1943-2009. The Cheddi Jagan Research Centre has played a crucial role in assuring the survival and preservation of many of the documents and artifacts of this period through several documentation efforts. Visitors are encouraged to check back regularly, as new content is always being added to the site.
